almond praline and a wish to leave ... again!

Since we are giving her is a quiet beautiful, but I will not give up everything and now that she grew up, we are working!
In fact, just what I wanted to talk to you, where would you go with a girl of 1 year to the next?
are torn between different options and I can not decide which is the least stressful for her.
I must point out that we are talking only a few days away from home, a weekend or at best a long bridge, not the summer holidays ... maybe we will miss! In addition
are also undecided on what time of choosing, this cold is not ideal for her, but it seems to me an eternity to wait until spring.
The options I have are these:
  1. London or Berlin with attached odd hours flight (if there are no tickets through the nose) and stay in B & B or hotel (with consequent adjustment for meals not just mom-made).
  2. Luxembourg, 2 hours by car, at home with friends - Marco and Daniela, for the series you've been warned;) joke, we feel these days;) - and around and around in .
  3. Amsterdam, always a couple of hours by car or by train to the maximum, B & B.
  4. Normadia . A typical car trip, at least 3 days with various stages.

MANDORLE PRALINATE

Almonds in the peel and sugar, the same weight.

Some leave to soak the almonds for a few hours, I have not done.
I poured everything into a pan * and I started to mix, all at very low heat. Need to mix a long time without ever stopping, you will notice that the sugar begins to melt and then slowly to stick to the almonds. Remove from heat
eras when maggiorn of the sugar will be attacked and not very dark, attention .. it takes a while because if you burn! If the pan starts to smoke, Abbas still a little flame and stir for about ten seconds away from fire. The same procedure can be even hazelnuts.

* I used the pan series of GreenLine Ballarini, a line of pots, organic material in both imaballaggi.

These are the ones we have had for us, needless to say, ended up in a flash! Worse
cherries ... ;)

Enjoy: D

Wedding Program Examples

Eccomi tornata!!

The recipe was taken from the book "The Art of Pastry" attached to the newspaper "Today."
I made some small modifications to the original and some things I have agreed (like the photos that I seem little "true ".... yet the result is great!

Ingredients: SHORT CRUST PASTRY
300 grams of flour 00
150
caster sugar 150 gr small pieces of butter at room temperature
100 grams of hazelnuts
1 tablespoon baking
FARCITURA
300 gr di nocciole (io ne ho usati 200)
60 gr di zucchero semolato
30 gr di amaretti
3 albumi
DECORAZIONE
1,5 dl di panna
50 gr di crema pasticcera
40 gr di zucchero a velo
............................................................................................................................

Materiali:
tortiera da 22 cm in diameter (it is undoubtedly a
wider, you'll see how my cake is a little 'squat)
parchment paper to line the mold (the original recipe calls to butter ..)
pastry bag to decorate with whipped cream and
........................................... .................................................. .............................

Procedure:
Prepare the pastry, do not be surprised (as I did) if there are no eggs and if the mixture is crumbly and difficult to hold together once cooked will perfect.

Once cooked allow to cool before you remove.
For decoration I chose to do the tufts of whipped cream and cream alternate helping with the pastry bag.
based mental What the book does not says, is to prepare the dessert in advance, I served immediately after it is decorated and filling was a bit 'dry the next day, after resting in the refrigerator, the cream and the cream had made the' more humid inside ..... practically perfect!

It remains only a question, do you think my cake is in the book are the same sweet?
In the photo of the recipe book you can see a light crust (mine is dark because of the hazelnuts) little thick (mine is very thick) and also the filling seems clearer and there seem to be as slices of apple ... . mah .... do not you??
However, the book has only to read other recipes that salt-watering ... I will let you know!
